Origami artist Uros Mihic for GlobalDeSign

For their latest campaign shooting, GlobalDeSign collaborated with the origami artist Uros Mihic. Inspired by the shapes and colors of the accessories, he designed and developed six different settings for the products to be placed in. For every texture, around 1.5 square meters, he processed up to 600 sheets of paper, cut and folded by hand. As usual, the creation process began with 3D models and technical drawings to ensure the reproducibility of the various elements.

The Serbian-born artist discovered his passion for origami during war in the 1990s. When he moved to his grandmother’s house by that time, he came across an origami book and instantly enjoyed learning this art. Later, Mihic moved to Milan, Italy to study architecture at renowned Politecnico. For 10 years, he works as a professional origami artist, reaching the highest level of origami complexity. He collaborates with many fashion, luxury, furniture and design brands, creating origami for windows, exhibitions and shootings.
